Who we are
AXIS IMAGING LTD is a photography and film studio registered in England and Wales under company number 13983978. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean AXIS IMAGING LTD, and we are the data controller for the personal information described here.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at alex@axis-imaging.co.uk or on 07980 876123.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer enquiries and deliver work.
- When you use the contact form: your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message.
- When you become a client: the contact details, site addresses and billing details needed to plan a shoot and invoice for it.
- When we film: images and footage that may include identifiable people. Where a person is the subject of a film rather than incidental to it, we take their agreement before filming.
- Automatically: our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site available and secure.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Under UK GDPR we rely on two lawful bases. Where you have asked us to quote or we are working together, we process your details to perform a contract or take steps before entering one. Where we keep records of past work, footage and correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and defending the business, balanced against your rights.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within two years. Client records and invoices are kept for seven years to meet HMRC requirements. Footage and photographs are archived for as long as they remain useful to you and to our portfolio, and we will delete specific material on request where we are able to.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: our website host, our email provider, our accounting software and our cloud storage and delivery platforms. Each is bound to process data only on our instructions.
This website loads a typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. The site runs no advertising trackers and no analytics profiling.
Where your data is held
Some of our providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Photography and film on site
Filming on a live construction site can capture people who are working. We follow the site rules we are given, we avoid identifying individuals who have not agreed to appear, and we will remove a person from a finished edit on reasonable request from them or from the site management.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes we will update this page and ask for your agreement before any non essential cookie is set.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
